De Ja Vu? De Ja Vu?

Okay, a short post tonight to tide you over until I can find time to post that ISN'T me procrastinating...
Oh wait, that will never happen.
Okay, a short post tonight because, despite my hour and a half nap this afternoon, I'm still tired. And I have an 8er (8 o'clock class) tomorrow morning...so I am attempting to put my body in a dormant state in order to save up potential energy so that it can be used as kinetic energy in the hours following.
In other words, I want to go to sleep (but I think you caught the idea).

The countdown is on! Hm, anyone else have de ja vu?? Only a few short weeks ago I was counting down the days to coming here to BBC (or Bravo-Bravo-Charlie as my brother likes to put it), and NOW I'm counting down the days to going HOME! There's no place like it! Man I wish I had a pair of those red (sparkly!) heels...

14 days until Thanksgiving break - the days are a-flyin'! I can't wait. I could list the things that I'm looking forward to MOST about being home, but you would soon lose interest and the daunting task of reading the list would most likely overwhelm you and you would probably just say "well, I'll quit while I'm ahead" and stop reading. Don't feel bad - I would do the same thing!

I guess the biggest thing that I'm looking forward to (well, after ya know, the whole FAMILY part) about being home is having some HOME COOKIN'! Real meat, in the form of a flightless bird (preferrably dead and cooked to perfection), artery-clogging gravy (with which to douse said bird), and the only good way to eat yams (that is, with brown sugar and crispy flakes on top) are just a few of the images that 'dance in my head' each night when I am 'snug in my bed' (whoops, wrong holiday). And, not to be forgotten, the all-important climax to every Gehman family gathering..."Mom's homemade Apple Pie!" (can you get more HOME than that? I think not!). THESE are [just] a few of my FAVORITE things!

tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttgggggggggggggggggggggggggggbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbhhhhhhhhhhhh
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnghsadks
whoops sorry...drifted off there for a couple minutes...

The moral of the story is...Only a few short days (and one LONG day in a car) until I'm home safe and sound taking part in the glorious festivities of that holiday of feasting and giving thanks! And for that I am giving THANKS!

Speaking of which, THANKS for reading...
